We all got up early so that we can drive over to Bedford so Squiggle and Scooter can have a go at the dance taster session. Squiggle is booked in for the second session 10:30am and Scooter in following session. So, I figure that we need to leave by about 9.30 in order to make it on time.
It’s all going really well and I have even managed to do Squiggle’s hair in a French plait, something I’ve been promising and procrastinating for 6 months. It’s just coming up to half eight and we are all about to start eating breakfast, when I decide to doublecheck the email and realise that Scooter is in Group One at 9:15am
I do a quick calculation: if we leave now, we might just make it. So I abandon breakfast and bundle them all into the car in record time (a process that normally takes about three quarters of an hour, just by itself).
We make it at 9.14am, to discover that I had misread the email this morning and we are an hour and a quarter early.
(They both enjoyed it, by the way, they just had an extra hour and a bit to soak up the wonderful atmostphere in Clapham village hall)
