We venture over to the east of the county with the intention of doing some science experiments with another family of four children. Sadly, our coloured spinning discs don’t quite cut the mustard, so instead of the colours blending to white, they blend to, well, a mixture of the original colours. Still, never mind, the girls enjoy tottering around in dressing-up clothes and the boys have a blast (possibly literally, from the some of the sounds) playing in the garden. Unfortunately, they keep leaving the door open, so we all benefit from the icy breeze.
Later, I decide to cook some comfort food in the form of pie and roast potatoes. Unfortunately, this takes too long for Pixie, who informs me that her tummy is rumbly and so are her legs.
