Tumble has the rest of her 8 month check; she is less than impressed with the check for “clicky hips”, but evidently, all is well. I don’t actually remember the others seeing a doctor for their 8 month check, but we were in Kettering then and perhaps this is the “Northampton way”; apparently the north end and the south end of the same NHS Healthcare Trust have different systems, which doesn’t bode well for the NHS as a whole.
We go straight from the doctors’ into town. The decision to walk up the hill into the town centre with Tumble in a sling and the other three walking seems a good one while we are in the car park. Half way up the hill, with one child twenty feet in front, one twenty feet behind and one hanging onto Humble’s foot, it is a very different kettle of fish.
