I (and the fab four) have been stationery shopping (no less than two trips to Staples and one to Tesco, an exceptional level of dedication, I think) and I have returned with box files, suspension files, letter trays and 2-pack of matching upright “magazine” files, the latter to be self-assembled.
Twenty minutes later and I am still trying to force the sides and the back together. I am inwardly cursing several very obvious design flaws while being heckled by three underage spectators. Eventually, I manage to ram together the sides and the back only to discover that the front won’t fit at all.
I start to think it would be worth the ridiculous queue time at the customer services desk just to vent my frustration at them. As a desperate last resort, I have a go at the second one, although it’s identical to the first one, when I decide to attach the back panel the other way up. It’s marvellous what a change of perspective can do.
