Liberty visits today and I cook macaroni cheese for lunch.
“Grated cheese’s great and you use less” she says, then she looks more closely at mountain of macaroni cheese, “er, normally”
The conversation moves to saving money on the weekly shop.
“Of course, with having a bigger house, you’ll spend more on clearning products” she concedes.
“Um, no”
Much later, Tumble pulls herself to standing at the bottom step and then lets go. She’s standing for a brief moment, before she seems to realise that she should be sitting down
Squiggle comes into the dining room to show us her missing tooth.
“I swallowed it, though” she says
“Oh, how are you going to leave it for the tooth fairy?” I ask her
“Can’t you magic it out?”
“We’ll see what we can do” says Hub.

Aw, thanks. Just for that you can have more of it next time you come!
(actually, the only time we can have it is weekday lunch times, because Hub hates it. About a week after we met, I cooked if for him and it was one of the few times it went horribly wrong. I couldn’t get the sauce to thicken but I put it in the oven anyway, kind of hoping that it would thicken all by itself. Sadly, it didn’t do anything of the kind and it was just like eating boiled macaroni in milk with a bit of cooked cheese on top)
