We are at the opticians. I am still to discover what the circles on red and green backgrounds actually prove and whether I will ever be able to come to a definitive decision on which circle is clearest.
Tumble is positively delighted about having her eyes tested – we really have had a quiet summer! It turns out that she is slightly long-sighted and requires spectacles of the pink variety. She and the assistant settle down for an extended session of browsing and evaluation.
Meanwhile, Scooter comes out of the examination room expecting congratulations on passing his eye test as though it was something he had actively worked at.
